Habitat LA donors will contribute funds as well as in-kind products and services needed for the construction of the homes. Our partner homebuyers will partner with us in this process working alongside hundreds of community volunteers, to build their new homes.

Our partner homebuyers will partner with us in this process working alongside hundreds of community volunteers, to build their new homes.
Habitat LA is excited to begin construction on its first new affordable housing development in Lancaster. Located off Avenue H-13, the eight new single-story homes will have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, attached 2-car garages, as well as drought tolerant landscaping, low-flow plumbing fixtures and solar panels, all of which will help reduce our new homebuyers’ monthly utility bills.

Habitat LA began construction in October 2023 with a partnership with three esteemed builders – Clark Construction, Turner Construction and The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company – as part of our 2023 Home Builders Blitz. After these homes are complete, Habitat LA crew and volunteers will begin the next five homes, with an anticipated completion date of May 2024.
